Why we built it

We are based in the EU. Like the SMEs we work with every day, we use AI tools across our own operations — and like them, we found ourselves staring at Article 26 of the EU AI Act wondering what an audit-defensible compliance file was actually supposed to look like.

The same question kept coming up in client conversations. Existing solutions were either €50,000+ consultancy engagements or enterprise platforms aimed at Fortune 1000 buyers. Nothing fit a 5–250 employee European business that just needed to do the right thing, write it down properly, and move on.

So we are building Article26 for ourselves, for our clients, and for the rest of the European SME market.

Our day-to-day business is a profitable marketing and landing page referral operation, alongside bespoke software and digital services. Article26 sits inside that company as a focused product line — not a venture-funded experiment, not a side hustle that will disappear next quarter.
